Almost half a year ago I entered the Fediverse ✨ So it's time for a proper introduction: I’m Kayleigh Beard, producer and singer from the Netherlands. I make alternative electronic pop with dreamy basslines, heavy beats, and rich synth layers. My music blends atmospheric, danceable energy with nature-inspired, feminine storytelling. 🌱

Just added this pro-art / anti-AI song by Paris Paloma to my Bandcamp collection! 🔥

https://parispaloma.bandcamp.com/track/miyazaki

'Miyazaki' captures the euphoric, desperate need to create art and the fierce defence of this need and passion in the face of everything else. Titled for Hayao Miyazaki, the director of Studio Ghibli and a true advocate for artistry. "He is an old man who is likely one of the greatest artists of our time, although Miyazaki keeps threatening to retire, he simply cannot stop himself from making art. He is also famously anti-AI, referring to it as “an insult to life itself.”

I’m doing a lot of vocal exercises for a strong voice 💪 But mostly I keep these sounds for myself (even though I might annoy my partner and neighbours sometimes) 😜 But hey, I wanted to share the process towards my release show 🤷‍♀️ So enjoy! 😆

Happy Bandcamp Friday 🥳 A perfect day to support your favourite upcoming artist 🎶 As a one-woman band I create alternative electropop with my synth, beats, and voice 🎙️ My newest album Mutations was reviewed by Mania, a vinyl-lover's magazine: "It sounds full, warm, mysterious, dreamy, intriguing, and at times surprisingly poppy."
