But there are some books I’ve reread many times and will again; some films that I know I’ll want to rewatch, and some of both I’ll want to gift or donate. Knowing in advance which is which isn’t always possible.

But…Many of the books I own, while not at all old, are nevertheless out of print and unavailable. The film I’d like to see again won’t always be available in the cinema - or, indeed on streaming. Buying and playing a dvd will be less of an option as technology moves on. Cultural content could become confined to what is currently available.
