every city should have buses, trams, trains, metro that allows bikes on them... lovely Metro #Vancouver

mastodon 4.7.3Mexican dyslexic, or dislexyc(?), living in Canada, speaks Esperanto, and plays mahjong. Deploys servers for a living, doesn't own a car, and likes simplicity.
I like interesting movies, more than the just entertaining ones, I like to take photos, but overall I like to understand the world through the eyes of other people.

#Tokaido Duo: the 2 player version of the cute, simple, but interesting game.
I like the 2-player versions of games... not only a modified rules for 2 players.. but a real version for two...
You control a trader, that sells goods in the port cities, a painter that travels and paints.. and a pilgrim that visits temples and gardens.. and having the best experiences win the game...

The Vancouver metropolitan area consists of several cities. The city where I live is small in size but densely populated.
There was a fire in a 50-unit apartment building, and the building was completely destroyed. No one died, but those 50 families were left with nothing.
The community and the city organized a clothing and monetary donation drive to help them start over. On Sunday, we’ll be sorting the clothes by size so that those in need can choose something to take.
For logistical reasons this week I biked that route in red... if I make the map of all my routes in the last 365 days, it is disconnected.... although I don't "need to".. I think today I will pedal a route to connect it with the rest...

In the Province of British Columbia there are hundreds of provincial parks with front-country campgrounds... (a gravel area with a table and a fire ring) .. the reservations open exactly at 7h00 3 months before the first night... so today 40 minutes ago .. I was trying to reserve 3 nights for a July camping... literally counting the seconds to click reserve...
This map shows the routes covered on my bike during the last 365 days. Those two segments separated in the top left bother me... I guess i should connect them to avoid the little demon inside my head to bother me...
The census when I was young in Mexico was carried out by an interviewer who visited the houses... today in Canada they send a letter with a code and you respond online
The first line of Vancouver skytrain was inaugurated 40 years ago during the Expo 86 (and the train in the photo is from that first generation. The first line was originally built over the tracks of the cargo train that reached the port near downtown. Even the cargo train was underground when crossing downtown. At this station, the skytrain moves from underground to elevated.

#Shareyourcooking on Tuesday.
With the logistical change durige summer, I have to cook for more people... one realizes that it doesn't fit where it used to... that cooking times change... that you have to use the largest pan that can be put in the oven to finish the spinach lasagna and that since only one is going to the office you have to broil it separately. It's not really lasagna... it's Mafalda pasta... prepared like lasagna... a portion broiled separately and packed.
Each week on Mondays I have to refill my pill organizer... try to get exactly 42 (3x2x7) ... this week I missed by 14... 14 too many
I can feel in my nose that 30 minutes ago I chopped Jalapeño...

Risotto with 4 mushrooms... and asparagus on the side...
Two types of fresh mushrooms sautéed... another dry one rehydrated during the cooking of the rice... and the fourth... "truffle oil"... a little like cheating...
Life is what happens when you’re waiting for the water to boil
a day with a triplet of non-work appointments... taking the day because it was impossible to work in the moments between the commitments... is that being an adult? Is that being brainwashed and being more responsible than a company is human?
At least I was able to go pedal a little more than normal and mark a new area of the map 🚲
You have failed as a designer, if you need to say the sink in a public washroom is not an urinal.
In Mexico, Canada, and various parts of Europe, today is Mother's Day. Like many other celebrations, it carries historical and cultural weight, as well as gender roles... unlike International Women's Day, where you might see messages like "Happy Women's Day to the queens of the home." How does "Happy Mother's Day" come across nowadays? I suppose it should be a day to strengthen the social fabric that allows motherhood to be compatible with the needs of modern life.
[my office is on the same block where the stadium is, that building on the back is my office]
The stadium has this countdown towards the start of the Football Soccer World Cup:104 days.
We have broke the world. The stadium should be full of fans, of locals.. and not of people that can pay $6'900 CAD (4'300€) for each ticket... even for Canadian standards, the cost of 2 tickets is the equivalent of four months of the average salary, not the minimum, average

I just realized I took the last photo before the water was consumed... and now it's already packed to be taken to the office as lunch... so this is the best photo .. the least bad at least.
How is he still in power? How the .. antiinmigrant, only-boys, gunstodefend the land of the free are ok with this? how is the supreme court acting on things 3 months after they happen?
One of the side effects of my medication is limiting the feeling of satiety and satisfaction. Not only in food... but easy to exlplain there... I feel like I want pizza, I eat pizza, my hunger goes away, but my desire for pizza doesn't go away... that same thing happens with other sensations... I'm tired this week of that «isatiation».

I'm still playing around and/or learning how to 3D print two separate pieces, insert one into the other, and try to get them to stay put without needing any glue.
I made a #mahjong tile, the semi-famous #RedDragon ... I learned a couple of things that made the insert turn out better compared to the Moorish tile I did last week.
First attempt after a flu and a trip to return to ride a bike in the morning... or at least walking for about 1 hour
In both cases, and because of how my brain works, it gives me some impulse to go through new streets never covered before...
In the attached images the route of walking to the subway, instead of going to the nearest station I go to one 4km away and uphill..
The second image is one ride this morning..

Yesterday I stopped working as usual around 18h... around 21h someone reported something broken... I was working on it (which I didn't break but I have to help) until 02h the next day finding the root cause for the failure... I slept from 02h to 04h... and at 04h woke up to install the solution...

It's hard to have all rule variations and strategy in a single manual.. so this is not enough to become an expert in #mahjong but it's a nice and sleek starting point. 🀄️

Three groups of questions in the #CanadianCensus ... quite a bit about where I was born.. and my parents... and what citizenship I have... other about sexual orientation, gender and religion.. and another group about languages that I know, use at home.. I wonder how many people added #Esperanto as an answer.
