@akamran@indieweb.social @gannet@sunny.garden @FanCityKnits@troet.cafe After reading it, as a knitter with very little experience, I feel like I can assess some of those, but only the more tangential ones. My takeaway is that if the images are overly perfect and the creator has very little online presence, I'm gonna take the listing to friends at the local fiber arts circle, and hope someone there has enough expertise to check some of the more concrete "this cannot work as described" problems. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have friends who are more experienced than me, though. It's reinforcing the importance of having direct connections to people.

@djsouthworth@wandering.shop I'm happy to take the occasion of your birthday to sign up for a gift from you. I'm not certain that's how this usually works, but I won't complain. Your game looks interesting!

@djsouthworth@wandering.shop I do like unusual RPGs. And puzzles. And the intersection thereof.

@electricbraindump@mementomori.social For vocabulary and phrases, I've been using Drops to do Finnish for years. It's not a full scale course, but it helps keep words and spellings in memory.

@fluffy There's a Scandinavian specialty grocery in North Ballard that absolutely stocks salmiak.

@sus@timeloop.cafe Sounds like you might be thinking of Nervous System, who fit that description well. https://n-e-r-v-o-u-s.com/ They've got a fedi presence but I can't immediately recall the name for that.
