Jean-Sébastien Caux

#Introduction My day job is prof of quantum physics in Amsterdam, but I've got a bit of a split personality, reflected in my multiple other accounts besides this one:

Here, you'll see me toot about some other loves of mine: #Go, #metalworking, #modelshipbuilding, and all the rest.

It'll soon be 21 years since I moved to the Netherlands.

I'm still Canadian.

I'm still an immigrant.

I can't vote.

I have to pay my taxes (of course).

The message is now clear: the problems in this country are because of immigrants like me.

Yeah, sure.

To Dutch voters: good luck living with your choice for this shameful descent into bigotry.

I'm not part of this.

Today is my #birthday and my wife made a point of illustrating what I was fast becoming.

#Go: things are looking good for Iyama Yuta (Black) against Shibano Toramaru in the seventh and last game of the Meijin title match.

I've long been a great admirer of Peiter Zatko aka Mudge and if you don't know him, look him up.

My confidence in Twitter's inner workings has always been pretty low at best.
