This would be a lot more persuasive if you weren't pushing to end anonymity online.
Age verification will almost certainly end anonymity online, which will have a chilling effect on free speech, and will actually put already vulnerable people–including children–further at risk.
It makes your commitment to free speech ring hollow.

I'd prefer it if you didn't use a Framework product: they've been really stupid about funding "anti-woke" open source projects, using the argument that software shouldn't be political.
IMO, you're better off with a refurbished ThinkPad. They're almost as repairable as Framework machines, and you won't be funding "apolitical" idiots.
If Framework change their mind and clearly take a stand against fascism in FOSS, then by all means get one of their machines. They are quite cool.

The public outrage seems to have died down a couple of months ago, and Framework generated significant buzz with their latest releases while mostly avoiding drawing new attention to the controversy. It's completely understandable that you missed it.
Framework haven't really done anything to fix their screw up though, AFAIK, and they don't seem to understand what the problems with their course of action actually are.
I would really like to see them correct their course.

No problem at all. There's a "mark all as read" function, so fixing it only took a couple of clicks. And now I'm pretty confident I won't miss your next episode.

I like that you can try words that don't start with the correct letter, gives you more options to gain information.
Deutsche Bahn continuing to be utter trash, and to make matters worse I'm in one of the ICEs with shitty seats. My back has been hurting since a couple of minutes after I sat down.

Any indication when the f-droid (guardian project repo) version will be updated? There's been an update to the version in the Google Play store on April 16th, and usually f-droid follows pretty soon after, but that hasn't been the case so far...
Another pointless police check in #Rjx260 from Salzburg to München, bunch of baby faced boys walking along the carriage, seeing only (apparently) affluent white faces, and not meaningfully interacting with anyone.
Well done guys, excellent reason to bring guns onto a train.

That doesn't add up. Abruzzese is American, and the author identifies themself as Australian. Specifically this part: "Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up."

I'm pretty sure he isn't. He's not Australian, so he wouldn't write "Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up." It seems more likely to me that he reposted it, and you're mistaken somehow.

@apps@toot.fedilab.app On occasion, I've run into cases where removing part of a link that was interpreted as a tracking code (by Firefox, which has a similar function that I use regularly) resulted in a non-functional link.
I think this kind of failure should be very rare before this is enabled by default, but I would like it to be the default in principle.
