@cstross@wandering.shop Mimic exterminator! As such, one of the lowest ranked members of a police state ruling a constantly expanding pseudomedieval megastructure arcology who are explicitly seeking to build a fantasy ecumenopolis.
Honestly not the worst job, except for the inherent culpability in the horrifying inequality and social abuses of the megastructure which definitely isn't a barely concealed allegory for capitalism. Definitely not. 😂
@mnem@social.lol dedication to the mollusc is the only way to live!
@mnem@social.lol I fully agree! Hence me slipping them into Mage Errant hah.
@mnem@social.lol Absolutely! Kirby and Kidby were the two main artistic references for the cover art, because both I and the cover artist, Lukas Ketner, are big fans of Pratchett!
I wrote another of my giant essays on AI and publishing today!
I resent writing these, I really do, other novelists would be welcome to take over.

We're in the final hours of the Mage Errant Illustrated Omnibus Kickstarter! We just hit the 100k stretch goal, so I'm going to be writing an exclusive short story collection for backers following the Young Warlocks after the end of the series!
Also, Tom Jileson's art for the project is GORGEOUS.
