One of my favorite pieces of writing advice, which is really just Elmore Leonard being Elmore Leonard, is "If it sounds like writing, I rewrite it."
I was glad to be on tour, and now I am glad to be off tour.
Just wrote some fun pitches for a beloved property, and now I'm realizing I want to write even more in that universe! If anything moves forward, I'll of course share, but can't right now.
Didn’t get back to LA until after midnight. But one of the best things about taking the night train is seeing the occasional topaz flickers of beach fires, and the pale silver arc of surf edging the indigo sea. Magic.
It occurs to me that there are only two types of dying toaster:
1) The shuffling sigh type. Barely warming. Really more suggesting woefully of warming. Sliding toward the heat death of the universe.
2) The INFERNO HELLFIRE dying toaster. You keep dialing to lighter and lighter settings, but THIS star is approaching supernova. It laughs demonically as it watches try to avoid charcoaling your bagel. If you leaned in closer, it would pull you in and turn you to CINDERS.
There is no in between.
I've pared back, so here's where you can find me on socials now. As always, everything is at jendiagammon.com (and especially jendiagammon.com/verify) but know that these are the ones I'll stick with for the rest of the year, with only rare visits to the ones not listed. It was time.
I am far less interested in awards than I am in seeing how we can engage and uplift our youth and future generations in MAKING ART in any media.
Listening to some Miles Davis on vinyl. Great for a moody afternoon.

Successfully got two more people to watch Widow's Bay.
I write best when good things are happening, and it’s been almost a week of really good things happening. I’m tired, but it’s GOOD tired. My final act in this book is in sight. When it’s done, I’m going to go do something fun!

Book tour was great, and I’m also glad to take a break now that it’s over!
Time to immerse myself in LA as much as possible this summer, with only occasional dips to other towns.
