Seeing Amber Glenn toss out the first pitch at today's game was a treat, because it reminded me that you can indeed claw back a good result from a disastrous start with a little grit and also playing loose.
The Mets *aren't* going to do that, but it's nice to be reminded it's possible.

Enjoyed a visit to the FDR and Presidential Library yesterday. Was nerding out about a lot of stuff, but this first draft of his Dec 8 '41 address to Congress really stood out.
It was striking to see one of the most famous lines in American history started out as something completely unremarkable, which likely would have been forgotten.
No one gets it right on the first try, just get the idea on paper.
