The operation went off well. it was almost 9+ hours and overall a complex one. Now in slow recovery in the ICU but getting better every hour
Dad's stitches came off today fully. His doc is happy and now i can step back into my own life.
First things first is to take Rachel out on a date. She has been... exceptional understanding during this trying time.
Looked at my rather dormant portfolio and to much surprise its moving along at a steady 8 percent for the last two years. Good job past jay.
Thanks for everyone that reached out. It's good to see Masto return to life. So many good folks have moved away from social media in general
I got my first solid day of work in for the first time in over 6 weeks. Learning to decouple from the constant home issues felt good.
So far so good. Let' see how the rest of this short project goes.
5 am and the first South Indian coffee has been had along with Dosa.
Food of the gods.
Its good stuff when your gf's parents demand you show up at 5 am for early breakfast.
Life is coming at me fast. Dad's surgery been moved up to 19th. We have had to liquidate savings because of how expensive this will be.
Two years of self hosting my own instance and it feels good. It started life on a raspberry pi and now resides on my unraid server.
Offered without comment.
Went to the gym after weeks. Just basic stuff and it really feels good. The body has gotten so stiff sitting in hospitals
Therapy has been good. I guess just unburdening the sheer tension and anxiety of last year has been therapeutic.
I am slowly getting back to satisfying work and I sincerely can't complain.
Once dad recovers I got trips pending to SG and Kl.
@theonezero@mastodon.social I am using both. I am happy with either specially once you discover windows ltsc exists
My dad is back in the hospital again and probably will need a bypass. I am so scared.

I started a new Harandir Druid and i am pleasantly surprised to see my 25 percent from the last expac is intact till 80? I had expected blizzard would have removed it.
I am so tired. This is the longest I've gone without leaving the country and the wanderlust is so bad right now.
Just read up on Euro Office and i am hoping it catches on.I live with libre office now and been working with it professionally for the last 6 months.
More choice is welcome.
It's been a long rough month. However dad is on the other side of this operation now and while he has a long road of recovery ahead of him I am so glad he will be free of the constant threat of heart issues.
It really does feel like a different world here on masto. The anti AI wave is so strong I feel circumspect in sharing the work I am doing.
My dad needs a bypass in 10 days. It's a pretty common surgery but i cant say i dont have my heart in my mouth.
RE: @404mediaco@mastodon.social
There are a LOT of things wrong with AI but i wish people would cut the lady some slack. She got hit by a compaction issue. This could happen to literally anyone.
This is no better than you nailing the Git backup every single time and then that one time ....
Dad will be out of the hospital tomorrow. It's a long recovery period for him.
I am looking forward to his return.
We are in utter hell here in Mumbai. Please look up the wet bulb effect and then look up Mumbai feels like temperatures
Dad is finally in his own room out of the icu.
Thank god. I can sleep in my own bed and play wow in my downtime.
