This is dangerous rhetoric in a nuclear age. As Heather Cox Richardson noted:
“when Trump was warning North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on social media that North Korea would be ‘met with fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before,’ behind closed doors he was talking about launching a preemptive strike against North Korea and of using a nuclear weapon against the country and blaming someone else for the strike.”
This is a start. I don’t trust Tucker and believe he’s angling for something else after testing the political winds. But this is a permission structure to his followers to admit they were wrong and abandon Trump.
