I believe that the difference between world peace and constant warring is simply consent. Humans are very, very bad at consent. I would say men are especially bad at it. This might be where we really need to improve the most.

I thought my Windows 11 laptop was having a stroke with all the update errors and re-boots this morning. After five minutes of rebooting and an impending sense of doom, all is good. It appears its all due to certificate updates that affect secure boot.

It has been just over a month since the reveal of the Mac Mini M6 and the lowest advertised price is 140,322円, down from the base price of 149,800円. Some of the charts that show #earlyvoting dates for the #midterms can be a little off. Often they will list the date that absentee ballots are sent out as the start of early voting, which is correct, of course, but this is different than in-person early voting, which may start at a different time.
For example, Minnesota sends out the absentee ballots on 9/18, but in-person early voting doesn't start until 10/16. Check with your state's SOS for the best info. #midterms #mn

Ubuntu really doesn’t like it when you install a bunch of packages then uninstall them because they weren’t working. Following a dependency purge, systemD was have serious trauma handling those changes at startup15 minutes later, all is good.
One of the down sides of turning 50 is seeing people I worked with already thinking of retiring in a few years. Some already have. We are also moving my in laws into a retirement complex this weekend. I can see how this will be me in not such a long time. Yikes. This is my first exposure to raw aging.
