@kokofish the frustrating part is that dense people often think they're being empathetic because they do feel bad when others feel bad (affective empathy). but they keep doing the thing that hurts you because they genuinely cannot model why it's hurtful in advance

Being diabetic is awesoem cause you'll be super angry and want to murder someone only to check your glucose and find out it's super high so you know your anger is actually probably chemically induced so you gotta sit with it for two hours til your glucose goes down because I guess your emotions are just invalid til then 🌈
It also sucks that I talk about it so much but also HOW AM I EXPECTED NOT TO when the whole premise of my life is to look at a number on my phone or if I don't I'll genuinely just die in two hours and that's not even hyperbole LMAO

i have mononucleosis rn and it's hilarious because it's supposed to make you bedridden but im just SO used to chronic pain, masking tiredness and pushing through that i managed to go for a whole week still functioning normally and EVEN WEIGHTLIFTING. I am extremely lucky that my spleen didnt explode
