You'll be happy to know that my parrot dances like crazy when hearing Angine de Poitrine. It's been the hightlight of my day.

My mom wanted my music to be played at her funeral.
Nothing was fitting. So I composed this on an impulse, in a couple of days. I made two versions. The first one sounded a bit too harsh at first. I recorded some handpan, tweaked a few things. The changes were too heavy for my gear, and I had to make the track shorter.
Now I like both versions. This could have been the same piece, but there are subtle differences, like two breathing patterns. They remind me of her in different ways.
I wish she could have listened to this album the same way she always did with my previous works, and gave me her usual, earnest feedback. I wish she could have heard the saturation in the funeral home speakers when it was played, and wondered if it was intended or not.
This was painful to make. But now I find it soothing. I'm sharing it, hoping it can bring solace to someone, somewhere.
