Hi all --
The Nov. 20 community call is on, and has a draft agenda. The focus is on incubation activities -- the workbench version of the HPC intro lesson is alive, and we have a survey out.
See the agenda for VTC venue and timing details. It's here: https://codimd.carpentries.org/LsGodDvQTbKKQ-t-pATkbw
If you haven't done the survey, you can still do it, it's here: https://forms.gle/XuJbbQyX47JmumbL6
Hi all -- we're doing a survey!
The HPC Carpentry project seeks to bring the benefits of Carpentries-style pedagogical techniques and the continuously self-improving lesson model to the HPC space. For several years now, a small team of volunteers has been developing lesson materials, holding ad-hoc workshops, and nurturing a community around this effort. This has been an informal, low-friction process for a while.
We are now seeking to join the Carpentries organization as a new lesson program, alongside Software Carpentry, Data Carpentry, and Library Carpentry. To that end, we'd like feedback from as many people as possible with regard to their level of interest in hosting HPC Carpentry workshops, developing or maintaining lesson material, or otherwise contributing to the HPC Carpentry community.
This survey is one means by which we hope to gather this feedback. You're receiving it because you've shown some interest in the material. We hope youcan help us out by completing the survey, and helping the team and the Carpentires at large assess the size and nature of the community.
Survey link: https://forms.gle/XuJbbQyX47JmumbL6
We're hoping for responses by Nov. 24, 2025.
Thanks in advance!
