In Akkoma (and newer Pleroma) - you can switch default frontend by going to /akkoma/frontend of your instance (for example https://outerheaven.club/akkoma/frontend )

Akkoma users - ask your admin to install PleromaFE and please give it a try

Upstream PleromaFE as a possible (alternative) frontend support merged into Akkoma backend. It might be somewhat janky and some features (i.e. MFM) might be missing but pleroma-fe team (me) will work on improving compatibility. if anyone wants to test-drive/update pleroma-fe develop here's how to do it. Our CI is dead at the moment so you'll have to trust my manual build.
