@bagder@mastodon.social Looking at the dashboard, Curl is at an all time low of Cyclomatic Complexity and has few open issues compared to previous years. Lines of docs and testcases per KLOC are at an all time high. I think now is a good time to work on security. If there are good reports, even better. I think curl might be in the best state it has ever been.

Die grünen haben ein image das sie einfach niemals loswerden können. SPD Wähler sehen dass ihr Schiff sinkt und steigen um. Bei CDU Wählern sehe ich das überhaupt nicht.

Baofeng celebrates it's 25 year anniversary with a special edition of the UV-5R. Baofeng drastically lowered the prices of handheld VHF/UHR radios with the UV-5R in 2012 priced at 20 to 30€.
In my opinion, it's the #glock of ham radio. Many people still buy or recommend buying the UV-5R even though there are way better alternatives for the same price. It doesn't have USB-C charging or upgradeable firmware. The UV-5R only has 128 memory channels and the display / ui is very... "basic". Glock owners would say "but it's so reliable", baofeng fans might say "but it' so cheap, don't complain".
Let's talk about the alternatives.
The Quansheng UV-K5 has USB-C charging and custom firmware like the F4HWN firmware that supports 200 memory channels and a spectrum view among other features.
The Tidradio TD-H3 has USB-C charging as well as programming over USB which the UV-K5 cannot. The Quansheng UV-K1 also adds USB programing. The F4HWN firmware supports the UV-K1 as well.

What really annoys me is wrong duplicate classifications. Many of which I do blame on laziness.
When I see they have a thousand open issues, I know there won't be happening much in the coming months. I know what it's like for them because it's the same at my work. A hundred User Stories that become 500 tasks plus 200 bugs following them and so on...

@kc9red You're right. Even though the USB-C port and charging circuit part of the battery and not the radio, I have to let this count. The TD-H3 does it like that as well.
Third party batteries for the UV-5R have been around for while. Still no programing over USB though.

Die FIFA führt zusätzliche "Trinkpausen" für Werbeblöcke ein.
Bei der ARD wurden 6 Werbespots in der "COOLING BREAK" mit einer Dauer von jeweils 30 Sekunden für 600.000 € angeboten.
Das ZDF verlangt 1.200 € / Sekunde für mindestens 15 Sekunden während der "Trinkpause" bei nicht deutschen spielen.
Die "Cooling Break" oder auch "Trinkpause" findet mitten in der der ersten sowie auch zweiten Halbzeit statt. Sie soll 3 Minuten andauern. ARD und ZDF bieten nur etwa die Hälfte der zeit als Werbeplatz.
Zusätzliche Werbung mitten im Spiel nach dem Vorbild der NFL, sogar im ÖRR. Das ist wirklich verrückt. Bezahlsender werden sich daran ebenfalls bereichern. Das Prinzip für eine Dienstleistung zu bezahlen um keine Werbung sehen zu müssen ist damit vollständig begraben.

Nach dem ich den §19 gerade gelesen habe würde ich sagen man muss sich immer "mit mäßiger Geschwindigkeit nähern", wenn dort ein Andreaskreuz steht. Ob die Gleise in betrieb sein müssen steht dort einfach nicht also spielt es keine Rolle.

EV Charging Cables at Linus Media Group were stolen. They complain about the manufacturer of their current chargers, Grizzl-E, not selling replacement cables. Third party sellers offer them for 200$ which was to expensive in their opinion.
Instead they decided to get completely new chargers from their sponsor Ubiquiti, for free of course. They would cost 500$ new each.
The catch: Ubiquiti doesn't sell replacement cables in their online store either. They're playing us for absolute fools.
