Isaac Halvorson

I'm performing my first ever DJ set tonight.

For my kids. In my living room.

Could be a tough crowd. Wish me luck. 💪

First performance in the books! It was mostly a success. Only had tears on the dance floor once (someone stepped on a toy).

Here’s the setlist:

1. This is How We Do It - Montell Jordan
2. Intergalactic - Beastie Boys
3. I Wish - Skee-Lo
4. I'm Still Standing - Elton John
5. Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars
6. Golden - HUNTR/X
7. Dance Mode - Bluey

I was talking with my friend Josh last night, and we got on the topic of Boom Bap, my favorite type of hip-hop. He wasn't familiar, so I made him a playlist of some of my favorite boom bap and boom bap adjacent tracks. Figured I'd post it here as well for others to enjoy. Happy boomin and bappin.

Oh hell yeah, new Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean album, out Feb 20! It’s been a while since I’ve listened to some good #SludgeMetal. https://chainedtothebottomoftheocean.bandcamp.com/album/let-us-not-speak-of-them-but-look-and-pass-on

I think I posted about this incredible hill-climb run in a 3rd gen Camaro a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj0JxHx6NOw

Well the same driver was back this year with an entirely different 3rd gen Camaro, and the run is just as spectacular: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtPXqlmni4Q

It's like he's barely keeping it under control the whole time. So cool.
