Waves by Kandist Mallett
A reflection on 15 years since Occupy.
"I didn’t think I would become a jaded old radical. During Occupy I despised those people, who looked at us as if we were foolish to think it would last. They saw us as naive youth who’d go back to the shore once the storm cleared. But they were wrong. At least with me. I have been stubborn about my commitment to resistance. Even when I felt adrift, I’ve chosen to remain deep in the sea."
Solidarity with the land defenders at Lochiel!
"Dispatch from the emerging border wall blockade camp in Lochiel, AZ, August 7, 2026."
"This camp has illuminated a potential flashpoint for more widespread confrontation against the state, channeling the mounting frustrations against the Trump administration into clear targets with logistical vulnerabilities. Many are choosing to directly confront the machinery of state violence for the first time in their lives. People who spend time at camp are having transformative experiences, finding themselves more capable, courageous and driven to fight than they had previously believed."
Police are slave-catchers.
ICE are police. Border police.

"We are not free. We do not make choices. Our choices are made for us; we are the poor. For those of us who live on reservations these choices and decisions are made by federal administrators, bureaucrats, and their 'yes men,' euphemistically called tribal governments...
We have many rulers. They are called social workers, 'cops,' school teachers, churches, etc., and now OEO [Office of Economic Opportunity] employees."

Anarchy Live! The Writings of Anarchist Prisoner Michael Kimble
"Because I am gay and black, because I will not tolerate racism or homophobia, because I have a burning hatred for authority, because I love freedom and believe in self-determination, I became an anarchist."
////////
“They call us criminals and indeed we are criminals when we act outside of laws made by the state. We are free only when we act outside of laws made by the state.”

No One Is Illegal on Stolen Land!
Another zine from History is What's Happening Now, an indigenous-run archive project.
Includes stories on Palestinian political prisoner Leqaa Kordia and ICE abductions of indigenous people in so-called North America.
"In a world that runs on a heavy dose of alienation the reverence for art serves only to strengthen that society. The emergence of the Chicano Art scene is a movement of the forgotten commodity back into the flow of the marketplace; the desire to belong within the world of separation; to be bought and sold like everyone else."
A zine featuring two essays:
About Hating Art by Asmodeus
On the Poverty of Chicano Artists by El Chavo

"It has become increasingly difficult to live in here — just to buy soap, toothpaste, and basic essentials has become prohibitively expensive and makes it difficult to survive in state and federal prisons and jails.

"I ask you to put forth your best effort today. You may feel tired, like giving up, but remember that we need you and we need your help in getting us out of these horrible places. I love you all.
