Some thoughts on the ARC Raiders expedition debate and discussion.

Camelot Unchained is moving into early access. Someone call 9 1 freaking 1 I'm about to have an episode.
I reset my character in ARC Raiders second expedition window and it has breathed new life into the game for me.

Here we go.... #marathon #serverslam
I don't know how I missed watching Master and Commander up to this point in my life, but it definitely made me want to go play a sailing ship game. Maybe I'll give that Windrose early access a try. Hmmm....
My final thoughts on Ashes of Creation.

My thoughts after playing the Marathon Server Slam.

@InsiderTreat@infosec.exchange some interesting history with the art/logo theft and poor reception to earlier versions of the game that forced them to push it out.
My honest feeling is they are going for the hyper competitive crowd and they have a ton of things that are happening in the game from lore/story to systems (ranked, etc). It's the opposite of what ARC Raiders brought to market. Where ARC is a casual extract shooter; Marathon won't be. It'll have some initial buzz.

@InsiderTreat@infosec.exchange the art/logo thing was mostly overblown. It was one artist and a couple decals that were minor. The artist was fired for it and the decals removed.
A little bit of experience with the server slam and it's definitely a more involved game compared to an ARC Raiders. Feels a little messy in UI design. FPS is fun enough. Not as straight forward of a game to play as I'd of assumed for being an extraction shooter; will take time to figure out what you are supposed to do.

@fragment@metalhead.club the nameless spot on Buried City you mention is a regular spot for me (along with hitting the window you have to jump into just south of it), but not walking away with 40k on it. I tend to avoid Stella so that may be a fair point.
