@Daojoan that's why I no longer watch anything. I read books: either borrowed in our local or county libraries or bought from independent local bookshops (or bookshop org, if I want ebook, with our local bookshop linked). And honestly, I think this is one of the best things that happened to me in the past several years.

@a2_4am I see you were advised below in better cones. We use comfy cone- black and soft. My buddy is now completely indifferent to it. When he was fixed we were given this standard one and he hated it. The comficone changed the game completely. Highly recommend

@sarahdalgulls@ecoevo.social I keep saying and will keep saying the same thing: we no longer have free market, it's monopolized. Monopolized market is NOT free. Western governments stopped efficiently regulating the market and now we have what we have. It will only get worse from here, unless we fix the core issues. For the US this means - dismantling citizens United.

@twipped like, one of the things that makes me laugh - when corps tell me to buy their unreliable ai so that it sorta my email. Bro, my email is in full order, I don't need your stochastic agent to mess with it and delete essential stuff by random 😂

@oclsc @Daojoan yeah. Totally. Libraries have a lot of wonderful... well, everything. From events and books to tools. With all the stuff going on and all of us stretched thin, I find myself focusing on just several things, and one of them - supporting our libraries: using their services, donating money, buying merch and books from the friends of the library, voting "yes" to support library budgets. I am certain: reading makes us better humans.

@twipped computers were around for a long time as a niche, but did not make big buck until there were made small enough for a regular person to buy, use and enjoy. ML was around for decades, advancing science mostly. Yet the LLMs fail to appeal to the small customer, which keeps it in the "nich" for research and war. Staying in that nich will not make them profitable. That is why they try to force it down our throats

@georgetakei Ukrainians and Europe are disillusioned. We've got our isolationism. We have destroyed our appliances.

@forse@kolektiva.social @LevZadov@kolektiva.social @sarahdalgulls@ecoevo.social right. Another alternative is Mao. Or modern China under Xi. Fun. Tell me more about successful communism. The fact that I am pro regulated capitalism doesn't mean I can be groomed into becoming a communist. I read too much. I saw too much to buy this crap
