Some plain, classic, vanilla 2-player, Ticket to Ride today. Like sitting down with an old friend.
Getting set up to play World's Fair 1893 for the first time. Looks gorgeous and fun and we really enjoy J. Alex Kevern's games.
Forest Floor is a set collection card game , with tons of cards, really beautiful art and easy-to-learn rules that make it approachable and quick to jump into.
The theme is a little light - I never really felt like I was planting, growing or mulching during the game. And the game did feel pretty aggressive for a game about plants - there is a lot of "Take That" in the game play.
I've been really enjoying Umbrella, a Pandasaurus game for 1-4 players, ages 8 and up. An easy to learn ruleset hides a very thinky puzzley game that is a lot like those sliding tile puzzles, with some twists. Interesting interaction between players, fantastic art and components, variation in setup and scoring providing lots of replayability.
Played #CoffeeRush again and I thought it was quite "light" after my first play but really saw another side to it today. This is actually a very puzzley game about efficiency of movement and managing your coffee orders. It's hard out here for a Barista! #bgstats
Today is the last day on Breakout Toronto. Last chance to play some games and last chance to pick up a new board game coffee mug and other geeky merch.

Touria is an under-rated fairy-tale, fantasy game about collecting gems, gold and displays of bravery and affection (in the form of hearts) to win the hand of the princess or prince in the castle.
Besides the charm of the art and theme, the game has a unique tower action selection mechanism that I've never seen implemented quite the same way before or since and that can be utilized in a very investing amd strategic way.
I made my own version of the game Tsuro with a Doctor Who theme. I wanted little TARDIS' but standees of the different companions and Doctors was cheaper. I called this one Timelines (instead of Tsuro).
Dog Park by @birdwoodgames is a very fun board game about recruiting dogs and taking them for a walk. The game is as charming and calming as that sounds. Easy to learn rules with a simple yetvery interesting bidding mechanism. Tons of cards with beautiful doggy artwork.

These are super high quality trays that have clearly been designed and printed with a keen eye for detail and the needs of modern board gaming. Plastigons seem to be made with a higher quality of plastic and none of them have any of that annoying texture that you sometimes get with 3D printed accessories.
They fit together perfectly - I mean, absolutely perfectly! They fit together perfectly side-by-side and stack on top of each other firmly.

Like many people, I created my own homemade version of the game, Cash and Guns, with a Reservoir Dogs retheme. This is the logo/box I created.
Each player gets a character from the movie and a fake gun (from the dollar store). We are competing for fake acrylic diamonds (from the dollar store), pulled from a small leather bag.

I don't know what my favourite roll-and-write or flip-and-write game is. It changes so often. There are so many excellent ones. Rolling Realms, Welcome To..., Ganz Schon Clever, Encore, Qwix, Divvy Dice are all up there with this one: Dizzle. There is something so satisfying when a game of Dizzle "comes together" in just the right way for you.
What is your favorite #RollAndWrite game?
3-2-1 Countdown is yet another really fun card game from Grandpa Beck's Games. They keep bringing us fun games that hit for the whole family and bring back all the warm and fuzzy memories of playing card games around the kitchen table with Mom and Dad as a kid.
Great retro space-themed artwork, easy rules and it plays really fast. Race to get rid of cards Great for a night of chatting and laughing while playing.
Played several games of #Skullduggery lately with 2 and 3 players. This is a fun filler game. #bgstats

Vivid Memories is a pattern building game about collecting fragments of childhood memories weaving them together to match patterns.
The game has interesting, we'll-made components, some drafting and a middle phase that gives you plenty of choices to move things around before scoring. Not as popular as games like Azul but this is an excellent option if that's your jam.
We are just about ready to pack up for the last time at Breakout Toronto. It's been a great convention!
So many people to meet, games to play, designers and special guests, contests to win. So many happy, friendly people. I love it here.
I'm coming home with 5 new-to-me board games. The organizers and volunteers do stick an amazing job!
Breakout Toronto and Ravensburger very generously gave every attendee a free copy of #OhMyPigeons! We got to play my copy today. A fun and cute party game! #bgstats
I really enjoyed the few games of Astra that I played. I gotta get this one back out and on the table again soon. Great theme and fun to play.
