A summer school organized by leading HPC institutions in the DACH region 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇨🇭 took place in Heilbronn – co-organised by the JSC. As part of the Parallel GPU Tutorial, the participants had the opportunity to work hands-on with JUPITER ⚡, Europe’s first exascale supercomputer, and thus experience cutting-edge technology firsthand.

Today the "High-Performance Computing and Quantum Simulator hybrid" (HPCQS) project celebrated a major milestone with the inauguration of two Pasqal quantum processors —Jade (at JSC) and Ruby (at CEA). 🥂
The event took place simultaneously in Brussels, Paris & Jülich. At JSC, it concluded with guided tour including a visit of the Jade system with the Pasqal team & of the JSC's cyrolab.

Start-up ARQUE Systems (from Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University) brings scalable, semiconductor-based quantum technology closer to application at JSC.
The first system is being assembled at JSC and will soon be part of JUNIQ, which provides access to advanced quantum computing for science and industry.

An international team of physicists, including researchers from Jülich, used supercomputers to deliver a new high-precision calculation of the muon’s magnetic moment ⚡🧬
The result reduces theoretical uncertainty and strongly validates the Standard Model of particle physics.
The paper appeared in Nature.
