@anttipeltola@mastodon.world exactly. It is also absurd how the public sector believes it is ok to pay hundreds of millions of euros to U.S. companies instead of probably spending a fraction of that money build their own solution based on existing open source code and open standard.

@mountainwitch@kolektiva.social this is how childbirth is handled in civilized countries. In fact, this is almost exactly the same process as we have here in Finland.

@eff@mastodon.social @legind@mastodon.social I would also proactively remove syncing and backups to public clouds, (try to) get rid of all other data in Google, commercial media platforms etc. According to some reports the US administration is already trying to get info about peaceful protesters and activists (a.k.a. "enemies") from the tech giants / surveillance capitalists. Stop using their services and maximise your privacy.

@autiomaa @mikko tämä taisi alkaa "kirjoilla" joiden sisältö oli enemmän tai vähemmän suoraan Wikipediasta. Oletan, että nyt tuotetaan paljon huonolaatuisempaa roskaa LLM:llä.

@stephanieburgis@wandering.shop we must not forget the "school of fish", "shoals of shrimp" or "pods of marine mammals". These english animal group names never made sense to me. In Finnish we survive with two afaicr: "lauma" (a group of animals that lives together like deer or wolves) and "parvi" (a group of animals that usually fly or swim together as one entity, e.g. birds, fish or certain insects").

@lari @digitaalinenitsenaisyys aika erikoinen tulkinta Verohallinnon pääjohtajalta.

@mrundkvist congratulations! I've been on Linux since 1997. In fact, prior to that I was an Amiga guy, so my "use Windows as a daily driver" career span only a couple of years.
