New client project that was supposed to start this month unexpectedly fell through, so now I have a last-minute opening in my calendar.
If you need a dataviz accessibility, web accessibility, or web/dataviz dev freelancer, I'm available 👋🏻👋🏻
here’s another fun accessibility issue I’ve seen a lot more lately, making me wonder if it’s becoming wider spread due to the use of AI to write code:
for regular site navigation
I've been too busy with work to actually write on social media, but I soon have availability for new clients again, starting August 2026 👋🏻
I work freelance with web & dataviz accessibility and offer:
- Reviews (high-level or full audit)
- Consulting, advice, documentation
- Training, talks, workshops
- Help with remediation
- Front-end development

Trying to use European services in new projects, currently looking into hosting providers. Hetzner comes up a lot. Anyone have good/bad experiences with them? Or other European hosting solutions I should look into?

Today a tooth broke. Dentist tomorrow. Fuck.
react dev uses spans instead of buttons "because then no css has to be overwritten" I point out during development it should be a button PM tells me there's no time to fix it repeat for a while with similar issues months later I'm asked to "make the product accessible now" every small fix has to go through sprint planning, development, two code reviews, QA, release notes management: "wow accessibility is expensive, let's pause this for a while" repeat
