@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social they could blast the Russian front lines with something easily enough, inside Ukraine.
Covid, whatever. Create casualties that way.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social oh yeah. doesn't have to be nerve gas, just something like covid or flu. a very strong version of something common will reduce efficiency drastically.
lyme disease..

like I said, it's a difficult line to cross in warfare. once the genie is out of the bottle, a lot of things can happen.

otoh, water supply infrastructure is notoriously hard to guard.
12 hours in the water system is a long time.. it'll touch a lot of people.
wow we're getting dark here. but honestly, a dose of e-coli or something moderate, I wouldn't consider it out of bounds. So long as it can be cured with commonly available medication and fairly easiyl diagnosed. It's more about creating a mass event than it is about assuring x number of casualties. nobody even needs to die. it's about sowing

probably is.. Chinese lied their asses off about covid. Japanese knew the character of the Chinese gov't well enough to quarantine them early in 2018. Chinese & Russians both lie like dogs.

well, some days events move more quickly than others. I thought maybe this might be one of the quicker news days, what with the heat and all.. people going crazy from the heat.

another peculiar british expression?
I guess it should have had blood in it, as I look at it reconsidering my choice.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social ok now the first tartiflette recipe I googled said this:
There are people who will tell you the only correct tartiflette is one made with Reblochon cheese. Pshaw! I say, that’s just some clever marketing by none other than the consortium of Reblochon producers dedicated to selling the cheese.

you know I was laughing when I wrote that, although it's meant to be read aloud with a totally straight face, right?

Haven't seen her in Westworld.. but she was in some demonology exorcism tv series that was.. eh, just ok. It had its charming moments but the writers really ran out of gas in the middle. This attractive is not something I usually associate with Dutch people. And the camera loves her, too.

shoulda killed off that whiney PW scottish cunt instead. Gawd he lived too long.
Even now if I see him playing some totally unrelated part in any show I cringe. Change the channel. cannot look at him.
Oh that guy from lost appearing in the demon show was great too. He was so good in lost I thought he'd never act again because he SO nailed that role.. call it the last tango in paris effect..

Can't believe she hasn't been in more stuff.. the camera really likes her.
Tim Oliphant was also great in AE. Where's that guy been hiding for the last 50 years?

some of the kids had star charisma. that halloween episode was charming.
most of her dughters aged out of their acting skills and charm as the show progressed and they hit teen years.

playing the interracial thing and the infideltiy angle was also off-key, I thought. The muslim guy and his temptations with the Jinn seemed a lot more plausible.

I totally agree. Nice watching Katja Herbers for 2 seasons or whatever. NGL. Though that baby doll dress thing she did in the priest's nightly reveries was cringey. Probably intentionally so.

another thing I have wondered.. forest fires. why not set the russian countryside ablaze for a couple of summers in a row?
talk about gobbling up resources. or just let it burn so that ordinary russians can look at it for a few years.

sowing fear and uncertainty and panic and mistrust of institutions. throwing sand in the gears of daily life. sheesh just look at what effect Covid had on the world for several years.

the camera loved this kid.. I think she coulda kept going if she had the desire and acceptable roles came her way. but then these were just ordinary kids and probably too well adjusted to stay in showbiz. usually the smartest move is just take the money and run. buy your parents a house. pay for college in a few years.
