@Em0nM4stodon It's so depressing. Since when does mass surveillance make citizens safe? Whatever this initial bill contains, I am confident that it will get ramped up once it is in place. I also don't trust any of the companies that are guaranteed to win the contracts. How will we protect our children's future as democratic citizens?

@Em0nM4stodon BankID has been breached too. "nothing sensitive" they say. That's lucky because there's no contingency if there had been. The odd DoS attacks have previously brought society to a halt while they lasted.

@evacide I really recommend this podcast on the topic. At one point Karen Hao tried to figure out if Altman is a boomer or doomer. She asked various people. Everyone who was a doomer thought that Altman was also a doomer and vice versa.
