Nothing like going on reddit for #homelab ideas and seeing people with servers having better specs than your current gaming desktop but you're too poor to afford anything newer than 2018

@will@ruby.social that's awful. Hey ChatGPT, play Despacito

@techokami I studied computational physics and this comic speaks to my soul ♥️

@midnightspire@mastodon.gamedev.place @gord@peoplemaking.games that's very disappointing to hear

@kangaroo5383@mastodon.social trauma didn't make me stronger, it made more resilient. It also broke a part of me ... so I think that's mostly the case. People associate resillience with strength. What they don't see that a part of your soul is lost

@gord@peoplemaking.games wow, WTF?!

@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt back in my day, we didn't have so many accommodations for all the students getting diagnosed with ADHD left, right, and centre. We just let the education system fail them! /s Edit: ok, I shit you not I had a supervisor essentially say this but less self aware. Basically amounted to "back in my day, a students like you who had many problems, we didn't let them take a suspension of studies. They just failed" ... He said this to a friend of mine who's dad had just died

@ics fair enough. I didn't see the other comments so I apologise

@gord@peoplemaking.games what about GoG?

@tveskov many of my dreams died a long time ago

@kangaroo5383@mastodon.social yes, that's fair. It ... depends on the situation for sure

@ics I get what this is saying but tbh ... I've heard this argument used to justify racism against Arabs and immigrants way to often for me to be comfortable with it. The reality is that the actual answer i.e. systematic issues cause tends in behaviour that wouldn't be there othewise, is too nuanced for most conversations ... at least from my experience

@RL_Dane honestly? PDAs were what we should've stayed with. Just needed them to advance a bit and everything would've been hunky dory

Hi everyone on fedi, what's the deal with the goose stuff I see seeing posted today?

@ErikUden@mastodon.de not just books but also films, TV shows, and video games. It's already happening with the latter two. Digital only TV shows and games have been removed from the online story and essentially deleted from existence. The library is last bastion because they still take physical book for the most part but the trajectory is not looking good

@cwebber@social.coop EEE keeps being a very powerful method ... even when the extinguisher gets extinguished itself
