I don't know why my phone chews these up so much but good morning.
Coffee. Synthesisers. Samplers. Sunshine and Autumn colours outside.
Good morning from down south.

It's your telephone but it's also a 4 track reel to reel studio.
neat:

I'd say that I can remember when apples were just fruit and telephones had their own special table where you sat in discomfort while talking to your gran, but I won't because it makes me sound old.
Reel: Overview Walkthrough (Part 1)
sometimes it feels like all we have, I guess it's important to remember that it's a hell of a lot to have.
p.s. can 2026 be less cripplingly awful though? please? thx in advance.
Happy weekending!
This guy is great, that's all I really have to say. Is there more? Should there be more? Who knows.
p.s. anyone selling an SP404? asking for a friend. not me. I have enough samplers so it can't possibly be me...(it is me)
Anyway, as i was saying. Great!!!

"I love music that’s straight to the point. Some people hear that directness as a hazard, as confronting, but I hear it as to the point. None of my tracks really linger. They just start, say what they need to, and move on. It’s almost ideological, this idea that you don’t have to pamper the listener. You don’t need the musical equivalent of someone rolling out the red carpet" - from an interview with Clark via Headphone Commute.
I definitely have a very rambly intro habit I need to break.

@PhilWill@aus.social hah yeah, exactly my thoughts! I don't have any multitrack R2Rs either. yet...
Replying to
@strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz I guess. Strictly, it is disaster free so far, thankfully. Unfortunately the fallout from all of 2025, particularly the end of it, remains heavily influential in my appreciation of 2026, or lack of it.
It will be alright. I sense it's important to believe this.
Don't panic!!!

@octif@social.bitwig.community no net yet! I had a bit of a period of feeling like I should deeply learn and use what I already have. But don't worry, that nonsense is over now, I feel much better :D
Replying to
@octif@social.bitwig.community honestly with an ASR10 (slightly sick) an Elektron Octatrack (slightly confusing, still) and a Tonverk I'm still learning it's an idiotic concept to consider more samplers. Still...
Replying to
@octif@social.bitwig.community yeah, triggered/sequenced sampling and playback is a big strength of the Octatrack but I know lots of people shifting to iPads for that and more. Hardware recording brain for me is a reel to reel but I just got an older laptop to slot in there, at some point a computer just makes more sense, financially if nothing else!
