I’ve never written in None of the Above before but Adam Smith is problematic, and in various ways so are all the other candidates (to me, anyway). I’m old enough to be pragmatic, but in a primary I am OK with not voting for any candidate if they all give me the ick.

Well #Seattle drew about the worst imaginable #WorldCup games, and how risible the mooted pride match would be Egypt vs Iran. I’ve been a footie fan for 45 years or so, and it looks like this will be the second World Cup running that I mostly ignore. Fuck FIFA. What a grubby, grasping organization. There are bigger concerns in my world than corporatized sport, and I will direct my attention to those instead. :bob_ross:
A trip to a nursery closing sale turned into an impromptu Mt St Helens visit today. 15 years in the #PNW and this was my first time. Will definitely come back in summer and do a longer hike. Very interesting terrain and glorious views. Also a cool rock store nearby, and later a fun dive bar in Mineral. Good day.
Went to the Renee Good vigil downtown yesterday. I know it was last minute but we need a better audio set up. Where are all the sound system resisters at?
Then went to see acerbic UK comedian Paul Chowdry at the triple door. He really didn’t tell any jokes, just did crowd work all night. I thought he was funny but I’m not sure how the rest of the audience felt.

Flying to the UK this evening. The check-in dude had a cough so I gave him some lozenges. And now my bag is checked for free, and I’m in a window seat of 2 with no neighbor. Apparently people are such jerks to airline staff that being a normal human merits nice treatment.

Biked onto the Southworth ferry at Fauntleroy this morning, down to Yoked Brewing for lunch. Back to Port Orchard where we took the foot ferry (with bikes) to Bremerton and then strolled right onto the fast ferry back to Seattle. You can’t take e-bikes on the fast ferry if they have fat tires, but you can take the state ferry instead. Great day exploring new bike options a bit farther afield. #biketooter #pnw #transit #beer

Ugh I went to my mentee’s high school design fair yesterday and foolishly took off my mask (I was literally the only person wearing one out of hundreds) as I was leaving, but then got caught talking to their teacher for a few moments, and now I have an aggressively sore throat and can’t swallow. Feel foolish as fuck. #MaskUp
