@Oggie @AnarchoNinaWrites there are some safety, scaling, and coordination issues with feeding back into the grid, but they are all solvable. Good municipal utilities want to solve them. For-profit monopolies have to be dragged kicking and screaming.

@Oggie @AnarchoNinaWrites the hard one I'm thinking about is coordination. Most of the solutions I've heard about being deployed there are for shedable loads and micro grids. But that's really for optimization. You can handle most of the permutations by shutting off energy to the grid when price goes negative and simple disconnects.
