What are the algorithms for maximizing the benefits of a battery to store electricity at home?

Some sort of measuring and predicting own use? With some margin as protection against power outages?

My brain refuses to calculate how many years are left until 2030. Like, things extend this far now. Warranties, leasing, OTA updates, LTS schedules, etc and it's just like the brain knows maths are not supposed to stretch this far.

I fucking hate not owning the means of production.

That's probably the thing I'll miss the most.
