"Can you have a quick look at my Pull Request?"
dominik schwind
I get my kicks above the waistline, sunshine.
This is something I'll have to think about for a bit, mostly because it rings so true.
I personally never felt like the Mastodon instance that I used was "my community" - it was always the bigger network.

I enjoy the pure stupidity of this
Lego Car vs Growing Gap
Maybe if people were secure enough in their stupidity they wouldn't use "artificial intelligence" so much to try to sound smart. It hardly ever works anyway.
I think I'll just go to bed, nothing better than this will happen today.
Oh: Overcast Zero.
That hasn't happened in a long time.
Sad to say: that's not an AI-specific thing, just one that is accelerated by AI.
Also, I should really stop using the term AI for LLM and machine learning things.

Seems like I monitored the situation long enough and can go to bed now.
Ich habe vorher gelesen, dass Flüge gekanzelt werden und ich bin mal gespannt, wie sich die Sprache nun ändern wird, um damit umzugehen.
Irgendwann gibt es dann die Kanzelkultur. Ich sehe es kommen.
Looks like I need to take a few weeks off from work

I also want to play around more with ActivityPub in C but the only snac around here is me.
I'm so sorry.
This video has been making the rounds lately and being right in the middle of this, it resonates quite a lot.
Psychology of Xennials (1976 - 1985)
"the sense of psychological ennui leading into existential dread that many software developers are feeling thanks to the encroachment of generative AI into their field of work"
Sigh. Again.
Someone at Atlassian was tasked with putting a new icon on SourceTree and oh boy, were they not motivated to do a good job.
Quite a fever dream of an article

It is kind of silly but I'm actually a bit bummed out that the company where I bought almost all of my shirts has gone bankrupt and is closed now.
Can someone please talk me out of writing my own RSS parser in PHP? I've tried a bunch of them and none of them does *exactly* what I need it to do.
(Also: I don't know what it is that I need it to do. Mostly I need to fiddle around with it.)
"Mission Specialist Jeremiah Dingleberry and his wives have 14 children."
I needed to run a couple of jobs in a docker container and for reasons I couldn't install cron inside the container or call docker exec from the host machine. This thing here works really well.
I might need to go to bed early today.

Holy shit, this is amazing. triple j's Like A Version is a fun series anyway but this one is really quite something.

10:30pm on a Friday night is too late to get into HomeAssistant, right? I should just go to sleep instead.
How annoying: editing a RAW file in Acorn and exporting it removes all the meta data.

This feature is absolutely great and all of this nonsense here would be unbearable without it.
I really like the DS3, easily the prettiest Citroën in modern times and the same can be said of the rally version. What a car.
Citroen DS3 WRC: The fastest rally car ever!
It's nice to have EuroRX on YouTube again
This reminds me a lot of the old(-ish) joke "Punks are people who act mean but are nice while hippies are people who act nice but are mean." MetaFilter is very much a hippie place these days.
