...you're all becoming stronger, faster hunters...
It's been one year since I started at Wizards of the Coast. It's been everything I wanted Nintendo to be. I'm doing work I enjoy, in a place I enjoy, with people I enjoy.
Here's to (hopefully) 14 more years. :)
Oh, right. It's April 1st.
::shuts down social media for the day::
I may or may not have made Bulgogi. Whatever I made, it's damned good.
I've spent the last two days resting up and not doing anything I didn't need to do.
I cooked food and that was really about it. I spent most of my time the first day sleeping whatever I caught off. But the second day I actually played some video games and just relaxed and enjoyed me being not as sick as I was on Monday.
It's sad that I have to basically get sick and ill to take any time off from all the stuff that I'm doing these days.
No rest for the wicked I guess.
I bought that Coke Cherry Float Zero soda, and let me tell you, if I wanted Robitussin flavored soda, I woulda carbonated my bottle of Robitussin.
The number of Dr Who missing episodes is now down to 95.
If I can vote with a busted wrist. So can you!

I need browsers to stop over writing entries I put into web forms. It's messed up a passport question and rerouted my lunch to a random office in Bellevue.
Angry.
Y'all. I know I've been a little doom'n'ghloom lately...but this? This....this kind of blows my mind. Not my first professional writing job, but my first professional writing credit.

Spent the day resting to get over this bug, but I did set up a slow cooked braised short ribs to cook for several hours. Smelled fantastic, and when it was time to serve, I took a bite and recoiled in horror.
The gravy? Fantastic. The meat? Maybe a touch of salt. This would have been amazing if not for one thing. It has the texture of a pot roast. The slimy stringy fall apart texture of pot roast. The one food I just will not eat no matter who makes it or how good it is. It really...
I'm not feeling too well. Better make an easy lunch.
The easy lunch:
Great non binary names no one uses:

In the last two weeks, my body has refused to go to bed at a reasonable (for society) time three times.
Some my job doesn't have real issues of i start late or early i actually got an out to sleep Laura that day. The second time though, I pushed through it. The third I ran in five hours of sleep and was in a surly and angry mood all day.
Just now I had a dream where I fell asleep in the middle of a work meeting and woke up to find Ali the power off and the workplace empty. They just...
It's funny, I said I would have an announcement about why the comics are years late on March 1st. It is now March 4th, and I still haven't made that announcement. So you know, I'm telling the truth when I'm talking about things being late.
The pics look so real, they look fake. But they're real. Right off the NASA site....
And here we are. Trans folks using the bathroom in Idaho face felony charges. Lives can be ruined, all because cruelty to trans folks gets votes.
I want to say "I cannot believe we are here" but it's all too believable. We saw it all before, 85 years ago. And it's getting worse, just like 85 years ago.

Sam Keith's "The Maxx" meant a lot to me at a time where I was at my worst. Twice. There was an homage to the Maxx in Closetspace...if you knew, you knew. If not, it was an intro to a really surreal episode. Sorry to see Sam go...I never got to thank him for The Maxx.
Oh, no. The Maxx was one of those comics I read that said "Oh, you've dealt with this, too." And even when the series shifted midway, it just became another "Oh, you've been HERE, too."
"Today doesn't have to be solved. It just has to end."
I really want some scones. Like legit British scones with whipped cream and jam. I made some not too long ago, along with homemade whipped cream...maybe I could make some this week....
This will kill trans kids.
I love how Livejourna's notifications look busy, but they're all meaningless trophys and achievements for long long LONG dead journals.
Mine's still active there, though.
Had a medical test today, and I can now objectively say that, yes, I indeed have a heart. It exists, is in my chest, and there are images of it.
I'm looking at having it removed.
I hope the folks in Kansas can turn this around or get the hell out of there.

Anyone remember a movie documentary that had Cheech and Chong in it, introducing other movies while inside a movie theater? I seem to remember this, but for the life of me can't find a title or even a record of this.
I had some blessed free time while I was sick, so I decided to spend a little bit with some old friends.
Oh, no. Oh, no oh no oh no. I found something. Something big. Something that could be the end of me: Dill Pickle Soup
WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?
...and why isn't the official meal of the Transgender Day of Visibility?
Dear Body. It's 1:30 AM And I would like to sleep so I'm functional at work in six hours. Thank you.
Not just the Supreme Court....
Waking up the morning after election night in the US:
Ever get the idea that you're not wanted?
Throwing this out in to the universe.
Anyone out there that could put together two 60s era Trek uniforms? Like really good ones with proper stitching, emblems and materials? Looking to make two with different measurements.
Phantogram is what happens when Calvin and Susie grow up and form an electronic trip-hop rock band.
@socketwench@masto.hackers.town - I've never had too much trouble ripping them. IT's just that the special features on those things are 3 million different 3 second chapters.
Most of the people I know who went through conversion therapy say it's pretty much straight up torture, and has not worked. This, again, will kill kids.
