@neatnik@social.lol Manton wrote the other day about not confusing “political values” with “indieweb design principles”. What isn’t taken into account are HUMAN VALUES, which underlie all of life with other humans. He wants his indieweb to be neutral and impersonal. I want my indieweb to be designed and operated to reflect the inherent dignity of all people and to show them respect. It’s an element of a design for a better future world. It is true that politics these days reflect a disregard for human decency, which is admittedly confusing to some folks. The politics will not change without efforts to uphold human values and decency. It’s not about personal attacks, but about building a better and more decent world. Neutral gets humanity nowhere. @manton

@mihobu@social.lol @neatnik@social.lol I’ve always been a big em dash user. Maybe I have a positronic brain? Am I a real boy?

@keenan I’m jealous. Can’t deny it. Being retired, we could do something, but my wife is attached to about a 1,000 friends (slight exaggeration).

@pcora@mastodon.social I moved off Pika to save a few bucks. Now I post less, and I think I should have stayed. Great place!

@jedda@social.lol It is great to hear from you, Jedda!

@hollie Wait! “Bike ride up to the market”? Awesome!

@annie@social.lol I wish you the best, Annie. You are intelligent, resourceful, and simply a good human.

@annie@social.lol If I’d had to guess, this was top of the list.

@jessekelber@writing.exchange I know carpenter ants eat house. Cost us $10K for repairs. 🐜
