Hey All: Yiddish Kabbalt Shabbat this Friday!
If you are around Ann Arbor and interested in Jew stuff, it'll be a lot of klezmer and singing with extra glottal fricatives, and free eats to follow. Bring something to share, minding that the building is vegetarian and nut-free.
DETAILS:
• March 27 at 6:30pm at the JCC of Ann Arbor (2935 Birch Hollow Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108)
• Vegetarian and Nut-Free Potluck to Follow

So this sorta just keeps getting darker the further you read: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2026/04/more-than-half-of-all-long-shot-bets-on-polymarket-pay-off/
Lesson: the one justification for "prediction markets" is a scam, the perverse incentives and moral hazard for corruption immense, and if a state actor hasn't yet figured out a way to milk these to start predicting major US/EU/UK/Israeli military actions, I can't believe they won't soon.
Props to Tenebrous Press on a very complete unboxing experience for the preorders of Michael Bettendorf’s MIDWESTERN CHROME:
