He's quite right: we need to start calling unwanted LLM-generated garbage "Nadella", in honour of Microsoft renaming "Office" to "CoPilot". Or I guess we could call it Nadella Bukkake. What do you think? @cstross@wandering.shop @pluralistic@mamot.fr Nadella Bukkake What a wonderful phrase Nadella Bukkake Ain′t no passin' craze

Timothy Snyder from the Toronto University in the German newspaper SZ (Süddeutsche Zeitung) doesn't mince words. "A toast to their own demise It is hard to describe just how primitive Trump’s approach is and how much joy it brings to America’s enemies: after effectively committing suicide as a superpower, America will find it difficult to regain its status." You *can* choose to pay adults. Live and let live! "Just fork it" dismisses the ethical question. Seeing as Torvalds is the BDFL of the Linux kernel, it is his privilege to take that approach --- as he has done consistently for decades. He is by no means a Free Software proponent and falls firmly in the Open Source camp. But not everyone is satisfied with ignoring the ethical questions. @aspensmonster@tenforward.social @tante@tldr.nettime.org Child labour is a difficult analogy. Sex work is a concept that will yield better insights here.
