Hmm I've just found out about #bookwyrm which l, from what I've seen, is a more open, privacy centric alternative to Goodreads. The problem is they don't have author profiles so the only way to get my books on there would be to say I'm reading them. That seems a little against what that service is for.

I want to support this and there's a lot of synergy between my own #CreativeCommons ethos and what they do. I'm not interested in boosting sales or self promotion really but I do think people who use something like bookwyrm would appreciate my CC books.

The incredible @boringdadsleepstories@indieauthors.social has just released another great audio version of one of my stories. This time it's my sci-fi short "Though we are many".

I really thought this one might be difficult to convey in audio but he does such a good job with it. I really recommend you take a listen. It's just brilliant.

I've created a new cover for my children's #ShortStory Waiting at the Bus Stop. This is more in keeping with the other books and stories I've produced but, I think, keeps its own identity well.

Three children discuss their favourite superpower while waiting for the bus but maybe all is not what it seems.

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of my popular short story ebook "Face to Face with The Gorilla King".
By way of celebration and because I just wasn't happy with the previous one (it wasn't saying "kids book" to me), I've created a brand new cover for it.

So what was 2025 like for crimperbooks?
Downsides:
- I didn't complete the third Roboteers novel like I wanted to.

Upsides:
- I wrote another two Roboteers short stories (and I have made great progress in the third novel)
- Finally got that new cover for Face to Face with the Gorilla king
- I discovered that kids are still enjoying my work some 12 years after I wrote it.
- Some great audio versions of my stories appeared courtesy of @boringdadsleepstories@indieauthors.social

So, all in all, a positive year.

It's been a while but I finally got back to some writing yesterday. I have done a first draft of half the third Roboteers novel.
I am planning for this to be the last one but I'll leave it open in case I get a hankering to continue everybody's stories some.more.
