I like synthwave, as a result it pops up on my YouTube homepage as suggestions pretty often with hour-long mixes from channels I recognise.
But one thing I've noticed the past year or two is how the "cover art" they use is now generated by "AI" (and it is credited as such "AI ARTWORK by XYZ") instead of using real art created by fans of the synthwave aesthetic. Sure, the colours are usually on point, but… there is no story to the image. And you can just tell.
All this to say I hate it.
@whalecoiner@indieweb.social Thank you for sharing this. I joined this instance when that wanker bought the birdsite, and I took the easy route to get set up. I'll start looking for an alternative!
Very weird to have somebody reach out to ask me to add a link to an Adobe tool in an article of mine through an email address I mainly use for spam and do not share publicly *anywhere*.
@accudio@mastodon.scot @nixCraft@mastodon.social Don't forget <> pointy bois! (all credits to @cassiecodes@front-end.social 😄)
I love deploying code on a Friday evening to 4 different Shopify sites that have the same codebase of one minified JS file per page, except a little different so I can't copy-paste without thinking. 🫠
