The Apollo Guidance Computer created for the Apollo moon missions of the 1960s and 70s was built using custom hardware for the task, and the software running on it was hand-coded in 3 megabytes of Assembly by a small team led by Margaret Hamilton!
And Mrs. Hamilton is still alive today! I wonder what she thinks about the fact that the computer aboard Artemis just had a problem with accidentally running two copies of Microsoft Outlook at the same time?

Personally, I think that generating code from an LLM, and then giving that code ( or the resulting compiled binary ) to literally anyone else, for any reason, should be illegal.
Wow.
Last week, I sent a very detailed email to the US Embassy in Amsterdam explaining that I wish to renounce my US citizenship. I explained that I had already carefully read all the forms and instructions, and I included two very specific instructions about how to complete line items on one of the forms.
Today, eight days later, I received a generic form letter response that doesn't answer my questions or help me at all.
What the actual fuck, America?
Just drone strike me out of my misery.

@1password@1password.social I'm pretty sure that you're talking nonsense, because not only do I not understand what this means, but my partner, who is a software developer, also doesn't understand what this means. Telling agents to produce code using fixed seed values in the LLM, I suppose.
Using LLMs to produce code is just a bad idea. But using LLMs to produce code that people trust to be secure is a TERRIBLE idea.
A human CANNOT own all key decisions in the process unless the human is a developer who is free to develop the code independently, and however they see fit. When a developer's LLM use is mandated from the top down, the dev is forced to become 'responsible' for the LLM's mistakes. The dev is 'replaceable' after all, right?
My partner, who is a developer, is cancelling your service. I've never used your service myself, but I'll be warning everyone against you.
