Kein See, aber Wald. Und ÖPNV. Und Internet. Und lovely people.
RE: @operative@mastodon.social
Have you been locked in? Vendor locked in? By a #WordPress event plugin?
Now is the time to escape, tell me the plugin you like to escape from, as I’m working on importers for #GatherPress.

@Rana@sueden.social Great idea, here’s one of my favourites, almost 20 years old.

Dear @andyfragen@wptoots.social , I’m wondering if any plugin could provide its own betas through the „#WordPress Beta Tester“ plugin in any way. Wondering for a #GatherPress community.

@phillip That’s ok ;) And yes, this might have been a little too dramatic. TEC especially is one of the few plugins, that take care about some of WordPress‘ standards, so that a migration to GatherPress works flawlessly. Other are way more rigid in „hiding“ their data.

Weiter so!
@DianaThompson@fosstodon.org @111@mas.to Appreciate every action for greater visibility and would be very thankful for everything you could do. And don’t hesitate to ask if you need anything. I would be happy to help!
@mattwiebe@mastodon.social That is so lovely. I also enjoyed your previous blog post about the shaders, but this one especially is super-nice. Looking forward to my own ideas, where to use that one.

@pintoch@mamot.fr I needed some time to realise that your ideas and thoughts align perfectly, with what - I believe - not only #WordPress, but also #GatherPress needs, two projects, I tried to contribute to. With all the hassle, you described.
So here is my question (to everybody): How have you tried proposing a NEW governance model to your beloved #FOSS projects?
I really need to try.
@DianaThompson@fosstodon.org @111@mas.to That are incredible huge numbers. Last time I heard someone roughly calculating that amount, they came up 25% of yours. I don’t believe, but I hope this is not the truth … unbelievable.

@DianaThompson @111 In my wildest dreams: A public announcement about the re-opening of the core sustainability team, funded by the money, that was recently given to meetup and can be saved now thanks to the community-powered sustainable alternative #GatherPress .

@hightechredneck@phpc.social @werkform@mastodon.social You might be able to use block-bindings on a paragraph block. You’ll have to set your meta_key inside the block markup and should be done, as long as this meta data is a simple int or string.
Do you need a doc link or do you already know what I mean?
A good question!
Happy to read your thoughts, while I struggle answering myself, dear people of #WordPress .
