mastodon 4.7.3There's more that we can do. So let's do more.
#SupportIndieMusic
Blue Grazer is not an actual record label. We're just two musicians who are passionate about the indie music scene. Located in the US and Germany, we're interested in indie music of all genres from across the globe and are constantly trying to find ways to get indie music heard by a wider audience.
Blue Grazer Records is run by Kevin of the @mvos@mastodon.social and @drewnold@musicworld.social. Currently, Kevin manages this page.

“Breath” is a heavy, emotional alt-rock ballad with shades of post-metal - a collaboration between two musicians from St. Joseph, Missouri and Heidelberg, Germany. We’re confident you’ll love this track if you give it a listen.

Hi! We're Drew and Kevin, the two music nerds behind Blue Grazer Records. We try to do our part in supporting indie music where we can. We're still #NewHere, so we'd appreciate any tips, ideas or suggestions you might have for us.
So far, Drew and I have mainly been curating playlists on Spotify to connect and to give exposure to indie musicians we're passionate about. Is this something you #indie musicians in the #fediverse would appreciate? We're trying to figure out how to cater to you :)

We agree 100%! Any thoughtful comment on music that was made with heart and soul is worth so much more than any streaming numbers anywhere. Knowing that our music touched somebody somewhere is so meaningful to artists. And for fans, it's so much fun to geek out about their favorite music!
Out now! Steam Slicer and Drew Nold: “Breath”
Emotional and powerful #altrock / #postmetal ballad. Listen or buy wherever you get your music!
Woah, woah - we're halfway there! The codes are running out fast.
Don't miss out on free #bandcampcodes for this hard hitting and emotional banger by Drew Nold and Steam Slicer!
#SundaySongSuggestion - Suggest a song you love, but that nobody else knows!
"Emily" by Deon Powter.
Amazing acoustic guitar playing, beautiful singing, and touching songwriting.
Okay, one of the best band names we've ever come across has got to be: Cheeses of Mexico. 10/10 band name.
Oh, and they make great music. Check them out here https://song.link/s/3JF2fNiW8iNyWiyWSqUjIW
We came across them on https://bandwagon.fm - we highly recommend this site to discover more indie music treasures!
@mjpiii@mastodon.social By all means, we’re no big fans of Spotify here. We just thought we’d share how we got started.
Maybe we’ll start a poll soon asking about where people stream their music. For us to reach many indie musicians and listeners alike, it seems like a good idea to go where the people already are…
@pomCountyIrregs@mstdn.social Well, no, not at all. And it didn’t take long for us to get the vibe that many in the fediverse are quite… shall we say unenthusiastic about Spotify (and rightly so). Since our previous efforts in playlisting had some success in connecting indie musicians with a (small) audience, we were wondering how to best replicate that effect. Spotify sadly still has the advantage of being the go-to provider of music to a majority of music listeners… grrr.
TL;DR: Sign up to https://bandwagon.fm and make yourself discoverable for radios - this might not be huge at the moment, but hopefully it will someday.
OUT NOW - “Breath” by Steam Slicer & Drew Nold
https://song.link/i/1869730278
In Sep 2024 (yea you read that right) Drew sent three guitar parts to Joel. The NEXT DAY he sent back the completed instrumental! Inspired by the song’s Steamy goodness, Drew wrote the vocals just as quickly. All that was left was vocal tracking, production and release! Well…that all took a while.
This song means a lot to us. I hope you love it half as much as we do. 🖤🔥🤘
New on Blue Grazer Records!

Is spitting my fears right back at me
It knows as well as I do
That the masses decide what’s true
We’re working to raise a new reality"

That's the question, isn't it! We're still trying to figure that out as well.
For the meantime, we're using https://odesli.co/ to create langing pages for tracks or albums that take you to the different streaming services and YouTube videos. However, Bandcamp doesn't show up, which is a shame...
