REI’s Board of Directors is out of control, dominated by Exxon Mobil, Proctor and Gamble, and other corporate executives.
REI’s board denies us a real vote. They just put their cherry-picked corporate candidates on our ballot to vote up or down.
Now is our chance to take back our co-op by rejecting their slate of corporate executive candidates.

I passed the FCC amateur radio Technician Exam yesterday.
I am now a Ham.
My cooperative development organization, Carolina Common Enterprise, lost federal funding earlier this year. We've re-engineered our business model to not depend on grants and internally to operate as a worker cooperative. There's a lot of need for our services. We have new projects in the pipeline and prospects to break even soon, but our cash has run out.

Jamaica Aid! (Updated) Community Through Colors, Sail Relief Team and Mutual Aid Disaster Relief have partnered to bring critical relief and recovery supplies to Jamaica in the wake of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa. These orgs are preparing to deploy solar kits across Jamaica to address basic needs.
Each solar kit can power a small refrigerator, a cell phone charging station, WiFi comms and a few lights. Donate to support this work.
