Why do tech journalists never describe email as confusing to new users because they have to choose a server?

Sometimes I feel like the people around me just don't appreciate it when I externalise the song lyrics that pop into my head while they're talking

Say what you like about Thomas Edison, at least he was smart enough not to rename his power company to Direct Current Mains.

Email clients that strip the > characters from the replied-to lines in the whole conversation. What evil is this.

@major@social.lol Nice, I was just looking yesterday for a good way to set the PATH that bemenu uses too.

I really enjoyed this sort-of-text-based puzzle-mystery game. It's a good one to play if you like a good detective story.

@tccoxon@mastodon.gamedev.place I'm genuinely curious about what use case would require a reverse-Proton.

@tccoxon@mastodon.gamedev.place Ah I see. I guess it would be a headache to build the engine under Wine/Proton. If a Linux build of the engine can output game builds for Windows that might be a solution but I suppose you'd still need to test that the game works on Windows. Tricky one.
