I'm thinking about registering whinycunts.au or something like that. It'll just be a website with a list of all news articles featuring small business owners sooking endlessly about how the upcoming RBA card surcharge ban is going to send them bankrupt and it's the end of times. "OH NO I CAN'T MAKE CUSTOMERS PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF GIVING ME MONEY WAHHHH THIS IS SO UNFAIR". Fuck off.

Due to my disability, I have a smart smoke detector at home. The unit needs replacing in about 12 months time. It would be a like-for-like replacement. Same product and just swap it out. The replacement cost is about $200.

There is no change in my requirements or supports here. It's simply purchasing a piece of assistive technology that requires replacement for safety reasons.

However, I've been told simply buying a replacement and swapping it is not permitted.

Instead, I need to approach an OT for a home-based assessment, who must then prepare a report recommending the smoke detector be replaced. This report is costed at about $400.

So the new smoke detector is no longer $200. It's now $600. All because of bureaucratic procedural bullshit.

THIS is why the NDIS costs so much. Stop putting the blame on participants relying on the NDIS for supports just to live their fucking lives.

1. Open Whirlpool in new tab.
2. See page after page after page of people whining about why they haven't received their new iPhone yet despite it saying "On board" since 7am.
3. Close Whirlpool tab.

Interesting experience today.

Ordered a couple products online from Direct Chemist Outlet for pickup at the local store. Received an email that said order received, we'll let you know when ready. Cool.

1pm and no email. I didn't expect it to be ready nor did they say it would be ready in a certain timeframe, however it was two small items they had stock of. I was going to the shops anyway, so rocked in to the pharmacy.

Me: blah blah blah can I grab the order whilst I'm here? Order number is 1234.

Dude: Uh, we have the order but it's not ready yet.

Me: Yeah, but can I grab it anyway if I'm here?

Dude: It's still processing. We'll process it Monday and it'll be ready for pickup on Tuesday.

Me: .... but you have the items in stock on the shelf. If I walk over and get them, can I take them and we finalise the order? I can't wait until Tuesday for these.

Dude: No. You have to wait until we process the order and then you can come back on Tuesday to collect it. Or you can buy them separately and we can cancel the online order for store credit.

Long story short it took another staff member and a manager and I walked out with the products.

There's a section of road near my house that runs through a shopping precint. Because of this it's a 40km/h zone. However, because there's a school adjacent, it is a 40km/h zone 8am-9.30am & 2.30pm-4pm. There's also some long term council roadworks happening, so it's a 40km/h roadworks zone.

I've been sitting home all day waiting for a tradie who was supposed to be here between 8am and 12pm. It's now 4pm and I'm assuming they'll be a complete no-show.

Booked a day of annual leave for this, which is now wasted.

Angry emails are now being sent.

What The Guardian isn't telling us is David Penman is a fucking loony who quite literally threatens legal action against anyone who doesn't rate his shitty AirBNB 5 stars and doesn't leave a glowing review.

The moron was also charged after he threatened and harassed someone who left a poor review on Google.

He's also been harassing Hepburn Shire councillors for years, to the point they attempted to get an intervention order taken out against him.

He's a fucking nutjob.

A work story: Last week I was on at a customer site performing some work. They were in a situation and I went out of my way to help them out, beyond the scope of what I'm required to do. Why? Because it wasn't a big deal, despite causing some mild inconvenience to me. Yesterday afternoon I was at the same customer site. Did what I needed to do, and before I left asked if I could use their gents. "No, sorry. Staff only." They'll never get anything out of me again, beyond what I'm required to do.

Victorian Liberals Make Campaign Promise To Bring Back The Level Crossings

PETE CLARK | Melbourne | CONTACT The Victorian Liberal party have this morning revealed their intention to commission a report to supporting the call to bring back the level crossings.  Looking to pick up at least 16 seats at the upcoming election the Vic Libs are digging deep. Dean Hurlston looks like he molests farm animals in his spare time.

This is political speech so I'm entitled to say it. Thanks.
