Caught up on the Witch Hat Atelier anime. I'm not sure how it comes off to a fresh audience. I love the manga but the pacing of the anime is a little rubberband-y. The anime does its best to look pretty but nothing compares to the old printmaking hatchmark style of the manga, granted that style is hard to animate in 2D.
Made some kitchen sink cookies consisting of peanut butter, bacon bits, pine nuts, chocolate, and tortilla chips and u better believe the cookies were deleted by my roommates/coworkers in a day

I dont have a pic of this but I put some costume cat ears on my head and went up to my cat Dorje, and she stared at me wide-eyed and couldn't stop looking at my cat ears. It was like those reaction videos to people showing their cats a face-swapping filter, but Dorje is a smart cat and just seemed fascinated more than surprised
Sad to see angelfire go. When I was in middle school the first website I had ever made was on angelfire.
Went to a hearing for a new act in Sacramento. It really is difficult to move progressive laws forward if every step takes place during 9-5 weekdays. I had to lie at work and say I was going to a Dr appointment 🤷, drive 3 hours just to say I support the act. Some had to fly in just for that.

One thing this video reminded me of is how irrational people are about money. Like yeah, you would think the most sensible option, EVEN INSIDE CAPITALISM, would be chosen. No. For example, think of how many people scoff at the idea of getting free stuff from the library. But spending money on stuff? Cool I guess. Or the sheer number of people apparently gambling now, even though statistically you will lose money when gambling.

One of my friends took me to see the backrooms, which i had been vaguely aware of prior. I feel like the concept is better split into "funny collective larp backrooms" vs "liminal space horror backrooms" and i think stories should be different depending on which angle it's coming from
