Possibly the coolest bird photo I’ve ever taken. Love our Mourning Doves.

Today’s hike revealed my first ever Ghost Plant!! I’ve always wanted to see one myself 🤍
I asked a trusted Cherokee source and the name of this plants is ᏩᎶᏏ ᏅᏬᏘ (walosi nvwot) which means wart medicine.

I’m in my framing dungeon today! Is that the original Coyote Star I’m holding? Nope. That’s the 16x20 print! I’ll only have one of these available at #DragonCon.

I love how milkweed grows everywhere here, even along the lake shore. 🩵 #bloomscrolling #nature
After several days and a ton of work, today I’m dropping off 82 boxes at the Post Office! This was such an amazing project. I’m looking forward to the next! 🤎

Drusilla is back with another special #caturday message. 🖤
More beauty from the backyard. I believe these are Rudbeckia subtomentosa, the sweet coneflower. #bloomscrolling
My current read for the IPD Committee’s book club. We are meeting late next month at the Brighton Library to discuss. #roc #rochester #books #Indigenous
Last weekend before DragonCon and only 4 days left to prep and pack. Then I’m on the road. I won’t be home mid-Sept. Excited because I’ll be spending time with my daughter but I am so tired. And launching a Backerkit campaign in the middle of it all. 😅
I'll be at Ganondagan in Victor, NY this weekend, volunteering my time at the Indigenous Peoples Day tent! 💜

I just left my art with someone for the first time ever… Not just anyone mind you but still feels a bit jarring! 😅
Peter Thomas at Editions Printing in Rochester is scanning Coyote Star. He’s also going to run a nice 16x20 print.
Patrons can see some studio shots of the art now!

Happy Pride! 🫶🏼
Was complimented on my earrings today while out running errands. I think these might have been the first I bought from @CvkvlvBeadwork@turtleisland.social.
I went on an adventure today, sketchbook in hand. I’ll be sharing something special I found with patrons in the coming week. 🍃 #nature #rochesterny #hiking #getoutside
Ugh… Had to be out in it briefly for my mother’s MRI but we are home now for the rest of the day.
I just finished the last class of Cherokee 3 (still need to take the final). Class was a retake for me. I passed the first time but I thought a refresher would be nice before taking Cherokee 4 in the fall. I've signed up for an intensive short course on verbs next. #cherokeelanguage
