Anarchism is not a romantic fable but the hardheaded realization, based on five thousand years of experience, that we cannot entrust the management of our lives to kings, priests, politicians, generals, and county commissioners.

And, for an instant, she stared directly into those soft blue eyes and knew, with an instinctive mammalian certainty, that the exceedingly rich were no longer even remotely human.
You're comprised of 84 minerals, 23 Elements & 8 gals of water spread over 38 trillion cells
You're built from nothing by the spare parts of the Earth you've consumed according to a set of instructions hidden in a double helix, small enough to be carried by a sperm
You're recycled butterflies, plants, rocks, streams, firewood, wolf fur & shark teeth, broken down to their smallest parts & rebuilt into our planet’s most complex living thing
You're not living on Earth You are Earth
I don't care what the Founding Fathers would have wanted, I don't care if Jesus was a hippie or not, I don't care what Marx prescribed. I can't take living in a world where we're all servants of long-dead men. You know what happens if you make a law the Founding Fathers wouldn't like? Nothing, they're dead and they're never coming back. I'm genuinely envious of countries that can just make whatever laws they want without worrying about how 18th century agrarian noblemen would have seen it. Stop arguing that Jesus loved the poor too, what he loved or didn't love is irrelevant, he doesn't get a say in any of this. We could have a country that isn't shackled to these ghosts if we collectively wanted to.

Was the earth made to preserve a few covetous, proud men to live at ease; or was it made to preserve all her children?
- Gerrard Winstanley, Founder of The True Levellers, 1649
10 minutes of doom-scrolling? no problem!
10 minutes of meditation? as if i have time for that?
Gaze upon the cursed children mural of Winchester, Kentucky.
Too many people spend their lives being dutiful descendants instead of good ancestors.
The responsibility of each generation is not to please their predecessors. It's to improve things for their offspring.
It's more important to make your children proud than your parents proud.
I'm going to take a note from @RavynWitch@kind.social and do a full on birthday week celebration.
What's that going to entail you ask?
Last year on my birthday I did a drive to get donations for my lovely friend @vlrny@disabled.social's kofi, which I'll link again below (along with my own in case anyone was so inclined :shifty:).
This year since I'm going for a week, I want people to reply to this thread with their own mutual aid calls. I'll boost each and every one of them and hope my followers chose a few to donate to or boost as well.
Helping out others is the best gift I could get from y'all, so lets do this! :boost_requested:
(Reposted because I'm an idiot who forgot to make this public.)
Time is an enormous, long river, and I’m standing in it, just as you’re standing in it. My elders are the tributaries, and everything they thought and every struggle they went through and everything they gave their lives to, and every song they created, and every poem that they laid down flows down to me – and if I take the time to ask, and if I take the time to see, and if I take the time to reach out, I can build that bridge between my world and theirs. I can reach down into that river and take out what I need to get through this world.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride; for if a man is proud of his own nation, it argues that he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud; otherwise he would not have recourse to those which he shares with so many millions of his fellowmen.
The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover didn't know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellow's hands.
The single biggest thing I learned was from an indigenous elder of Cherokee descent, Stan Rushworth, who reminded me of the difference between a Western settler mindset of ‘I have rights’ and an indigenous mindset of ‘I have obligations’. Instead of thinking that I am born with rights, I choose to think that I am born with obligations to serve past, present, and future generations, and the planet herself.

Human cultures were originally homeostatic; they existed in a self-sustaining equilibrium, with no notions of time and progress, like we've got.
Then the city-virus got in. No one's really sure where it came from or who brought it to us, but like all viral organisms, its one directive is to use up all available resources in producing copies of itself.
More and more copies until there's no raw material left and the host body, overwhelmed, can only die.
The cities want us to become good builders. Eventually, we'll build rockets and carry the virus to other worlds.
If all goes well I hope to test a live stream in a few days. :shifty:
Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish—a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow—to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested . . . Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.
We can be very hard on ourselves. We expect so much of ourselves… but it’s hard, this business of being human, so let’s be kind.
