FIFA President Gianni Infantino scrapped his self-enrichment program built on selling the World Cup to private investors.
The fact that he created a self-enrichment program is why he needs to resign.

In other words, just because you want to use the software doesn’t mean the software is _for_ you. (And don’t expect the author to explain basic Linux stuff to get it going.)
I don't miss Spotify much, but I do miss being able to control the playback on one computer from a different computer. It was so useful in the classroom. Airplay just isn't the same.

I know it isn't on the authors, but libro.fm needs to figure its stuff out. What's the point of credits if you can't spent them on new books.

@chunshek I’m actually hosting my server on a mini pc on my home network. I have a symmetrical gigabit connection and which has worked out just fine. I have it behind Cloudflare, but there are other options too.
AWS got rid of its free tiers and their service was expensive for a weak server.

I asked for a PR for bug fixes and test improvements, then each feature in its own PR. Got a cascade of nearly 30 PRs that just build on each other (same commits + 1 in each).
Reviewing this responsibly would take weeks.
@chunshek I’ve been running mine for nearly two years now. Moderation is easy if you start by using one of the blocklists for bad-actor instances.

It’s a fun project.

@chunshek Yeah. Totally makes sense. The storage is going to be the killer at Digital Ocean. My database is pretty large and the short term file storage is not insignificant. I have it set to empty unused third party images from the cache pretty quickly. 36 GB of database, about 100 GB of media storage.

@chunshek I was lucky to get hooked into a regional relay. That improved coverage of local sports and news commentary. Maybe something like that exists?
I found Fake Relay was less useful once they broke FakeFirehose.
Maybe I should give Fedibuzz another look.
We've reached the "I'm going to have my duty-free lunch, leave me alone" part of being a teacher in December.
I was worried about the lack of acquisitions during the World Cup break, and the team looks flat and lifeless against Portland. Preparing myself for a dumpster fire of a back half of the season. #Sounders
Apparently in Turkey you can use a stiff arm in soccer (football). #worldcup

@viticci@mastodon.macstories.net This is fantastic. I've successfully tried many of your examples. One little hiccup: I tried it with the share sheet in Apple News, and S-GPT just gave me the empty prompt box.
Thank you for sharing this!
